Sometimes you get on the right track at once. Sometimes, through a misunderstanding. Like today! when a Mushroom quiche became something completely different, unexpected.
You know what I mean when I say quiche. A savory shortcrust baked with a filling of mushrooms, baked with eggs and cheese. In English, it is however quiche and not pie. But in Swedish, pie is the name for both. I know this, but today I said it wrong anyway. To my Scottish, English-speaking man. I asked if he wanted a mushroom pie for lunch, which was perceived as a pie with lid, a vegetarian Shepherd’s pie . It took a few seconds before we realized the misunderstanding. But what a awesome idea, I’ll call it a Woodmed pie! So we made one. Really nice way to eat mushrooms!
